Origin Story

Years ago when we started our Limited Release program, our decaf drinking friends asked for us to show them some love. While our house decaf rocks, limited release offerings like Ethiopia Shakisso represent bigger, fruiter flavor profiles in decaf format.

Swiss Water Process decaffeinates coffees without the use of nasty ass chemicals, which we are always big fans of around here. Their Small Batch Series matches our Limited Release program by selecting bonkers coffees to decaffeinate. So if you really want to spoil your decaf drinking friends, buckle up and grab a bag!

This will be our first year serving Shakisso as a decaf and from Haile Gebre, known as the "Godfather of Guji," earned after years of service in local government, cooperative management, and coffee farming.

These Ethiopia Landrace varieties are grown at 1,800 meters above sea level before being processed using the washed method and sent to Swiss Water to be decaffeinated without the use of nasty chemicals. The result is a stupid clean organic decaf!
