Sumatra Garmindo Peteri Bensu

This Sumatra offers aromatics of baking spices and fudge with notes of brownie and dark chocolate. As the coffee cools, expect a marzipan sweetness that lingers into a cinnamon bark finish.
Over the years, Roast House has committed to supporting women producers and gender equity initiatives around the globe by buying their coffee production. This selection from Indonesia is another stride to put our purchasing dollars behind the values we share with our community. GARMINDO cooperative’s full name is the Gayo Arabica Mahkota Indonesia Cooperative, and it is an association started in 2019 with 625 smallholder farmer members, each of whom owns less than 1.5 hectares of farmland, on average. This coffee comes specifically from a women coffee producer subgroup who bring their coffee in cherry form to a collection point where it is depulped and fermented underwater for 12 hours, and given a pre-dry before undergoing the Wet-Hulling process.
Our favorite brew methods are Pour Over, Espresso, Drip, and French Press
