Wildflower honey and caramel fill the aroma. Rich sweetness dominate the cup profile like brown sugar with subtle acidity like that of honeydew melon. A classic representation of the Castillo variety!
Elena, with her immense knowledge of specialty coffee in Colombia, introduced us to Hacienda La Pradera. From those first samples, we knew a longer term relationship was being born. Over the course of the last year, Dean at Ally Coffee Importers helped us develop that relationship. This will be the first of many delicious offerings to come from Colombia thanks to the producers of La Pradera.
This Castillo variety was grown between 1,700-1,900 meters above sea level and processed using the washed method. Clean, crisp, deep sweetness only the best Castillo's have. Be on the lookout for more offerings coming from them in the year to come.
Expect a massive amount of chocolate and caramelized sugars brightened with a juicy acidity reminiscent of perfectly ripe pears. The finish is filled with butter toffee and juicy stone fruits ranging from peach to apricot. Perfectly sessionable!
Currently comprised of 2 of our favorite Limited Release offerings: Ethiopia Nano Challa & Peru El Chasqui. In an effort to put together everything we love about an outstanding espresso, great development of mouthfeel and sweetness while maintaining the integrity of acidity of our single origin offerings, "Coast to Coast" was born.
Expect a massive amount of chocolate and caramelized sugars brightened with a juicy acidity reminiscent of pluots. As the cup cools, the chocolate begins to turn creamy while praline sweetness leaves a lingering finish.
Back for a second year! While we love bringing on new coffees, our favorite scenario is when we find a producer group that aligns with our values who we can partner with long-term. ACODIHUE’s Manos de Mujer group is a perfect example of that. Located in Huehuetenango, a coffee-growing region in western Guatemala. ACODIHUE has obtained the certification Manos de Mujer (Women's Hands) through which the co-op acknowledges their contribution to their household and to the national economy.
